Kyndra Ray, MOT, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

I moved from Texas to Reno in 2008 and I have enjoyed rooting down, growing, and making this place my home. In 2012, I brought two beautiful twin daughters into this world and they have been a catalyst for my own personal healing journey. I love spending my free time with my girls and with our sweet American Bully.

Since 2009, I have worked with all age groups in the settings of out patient clinics, home health, rehabilitation, and hospice. This includes children with physical and cognitive disabilities, ADHD, and sensory processing disorders; adults and seniors who have varied conditions, such as COPD, cancer, post surgical recovery, and chronic pain.

I have come to understand in working with these varied groups that the commonalities impacting quality of life are the condition of the human nervous system and the freedom of movement in the body.

I have focused my training in skilled modalities of reiki, craniosacral therapy, myofascial unwinding, rhythmic movement therapy, somatics, and yogic movements and meditations. I have found this combination of gentle modalities to have a powerful balancing effect on body, mind, and spirit. If we are well, or ill, we all experience stress as a normal part of life, which taxes our nervous system and body. If we are not in regular practice of discharging this stress build up in the body, it can lead to dis-ease, anxiety, emotional breakdown, pain, and/or dysfunction. A regulated nervous system and balanced physical body has many benefits at any stage in life and is an investment in health. I aim to work with individuals on restoring this balance.
